Hair PRP treatment

What is PRP Treatment?

PRP, which means Platelet Rich Plasma, is among the most preferred applications of recent years with its skin rejuvenation, removal of skin damage and skin rejuvenation effect.

Platelets are cells in human blood that give blood its coagulation properties and contain growth factors required to repair damaged tissues. When tissue damage occurs, blood platelets in the body gather in this tissue and initiate a repair process. The aim of PRP treatment is to provide faster healing of the tissue by giving more platelets than can be transferred to the damaged tissue by blood circulation.

How is PRP Application Made?

In PRP application, 10-20 ml of blood is taken from the person and placed in special tubes. These special tubes are placed in a special centrifuge device that rotates at high speed (3000 rpm). After the centrifugation process, which takes about 9-10 minutes, the plasma, which is the platelet-rich part of the blood, is separated.

The platelet-rich plasma portion, which contributes to the repair and healing of the tissue and contains growth factors, is injected into the areas to be treated with the help of very fine-tipped needles. Injected growth factors spread to the lower tissues of the skin to renew the skin, triggering new collagen formation and elastin increase.

In Which Regions Can It Be Made?

How Long is the Processing Time?

On average it takes 30-40 minutes.

How Many Sessions Are Done?

Although the number of sessions required for PRP application varies depending on the damage to the skin tissue and the type of treatment, it is performed between 3-6 sessions on average. Sessions are usually arranged at 2–3-week intervals. Afterwards, sessions are repeated every 7-8 months as supportive treatment.

What should be considered after the procedure?

In some cases, depending on the needles used, small and temporary bruises and redness may occur. These side effects can be alleviated by applying ice packs.

Sunbathing and solarium should be avoided during PRP treatment. After the skin sensitivity and bruises heal at the end of the treatment course, it is okay for the patient to sunbathe. The person can return to his normal life after the procedure.

What are the Advantages of Treatment?

  • It is an extremely safe method as platelets separated from the person's own blood are given back to the person and there is no risk of allergic reaction.
  • It is a comfortable procedure and does not cause serious pain or suffering,
  • It can be used together with laser, radiofrequency, and light treatments to increase the effectiveness of these methods, shorten the recovery time,
